The Quartermile development in the heart of Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s largest regeneration projects.

Masterplanned by Foster & Partners, with M&E consultancy being provided by Hulley & Kirkwood, the Quartermile development will occupy the eight-hectare former Royal Infirmary site. It will comprise 900 homes, 32,500 m2 of office space and 7500 m2 of retail and restaurant space.

The Foster’s-designed office building at 1 Quartermile Square is expected to provide as much as 10% of the commercial space needed in Edinburgh over the next decade.

Hulley & Kirkwood will design the new site infrastructure as well as the current residential and commercial projects and future strategic planning of all other projects within the site. Three of the residential towers and one office block are currently on site and due for completion in autumn 2007.
