Commercial Electric Heat has introduced three de-stratification fans, which can be used with any heat source.

Re-circulating hot air, reducing heat loss through the roof, using solar gain and process heat all reduce the amount of energy required to keep buildings heated. Improved levels of insulation means new and refurbished buildings require fewer heaters, but this may not achieve sufficient air movement for even heating. Adding destratification fans to a heating system gives an improved environment and more efficient use of energy.

The fan operates automatically; it is switched on by the unit-mounted thermostat when the temperature rises above the set point. It continues to run until the air is mixed and the high level air temperature is reduced.
