Promac is celebrating 25 years as a window machinery supplier. Despite this long service, the company's consumables range and financial services are still news to some
As they celebrate their Silver Anniversary of service to the fenestration industry, Promac are looking forward to the next 25 years and gearing up to expand the UK's largest window machinery group still further. The technology may have changed dramatically since the launch of Window Machinery Sales in 1979 but the philosophy of offering state-of-the-art machinery from leading suppliers has kept the company, renamed Promac in 1993, at the forefront of production technology.

This philosophy of advanced technology, allied to perhaps the largest team of service engineers in the UK, means Promac delivers total production efficiency with comprehensive technical back up. The experience within the Promac team combined with the wide range of products on offer results in the customer being always presented with the most cost effective production solution, says the company. Whether the need is for a turnkey manufacturing operation requiring factory layouts, the supplying, installing and commissioning of machinery, maintaining equipment, supplying ancillary products or just a replacement spare part, Promac has built a reputation for providing a professional service.

Consumables range
Machinery is just part of the Promac portfolio. At the vanguard of the group's expansion is the continuing development of the Promac website, www.promac.co.uk. Having rolled out the first phase of its e-commerce website last year, Promac now offers online purchasing of an enormous range of consumable products including air tools, airline accessories, hand tools, protective wear, cleaning materials, machine tools, saw blades, measuring equipment, Teflon products, abrasives and a similarly wide range of glass related tools, accessories and consumables. Not so widely known, is that as well as carrying large stocks of spares for Promac supplied equipment, the company also offers guaranteed, replacement parts for other popular brands of machinery at very competitive prices. In due course, more than 9,000 individual spare parts will be added to the Promac Group website providing the industry with a new online source for technical information, product specifications, service enquiries, spares and consumables.

Financial services
A further new development at Promac is the launch of Promac Financial Services (PFS). In partnership with one of the UK's leading asset management companies, Promac now offers a wide range of innovative and competitive finance packages to fund capital equipment purchases. By understanding the customers business needs and tailoring a financial solution to fit the client's requirements, Promac Financial Services will remove much of the complexity from financing machinery purchases. Independent advice will be available on matters including taxation and whether to lease or hire purchase. The PFS facility is straightforward to organise, the cost of the asset can be linked to the income stream or savings it generates and the rental profile is agreed at inception, simplifying cash flow management. Unlike an overdraft, as long as the agreement is properly maintained the finance will be 'non-cancellable' and because it is a stand-alone facility it leaves other lines of credit intact for working capital.

Looking to the future, Promac believes it will maintain its market leadership of the UK machinery market by building on its traditional strengths of bespoke production solutions, new technology and technical back-up whilst expanding and improving the range of services it offers the customer.
