Electric quartz heaters, such as the new Dimplex OPH wall-mounted patio heater, produce a highly directional beam of short wavelength radiant heat, which covers a given area extremely effectively.

This provides a solution for establishments that wish to introduce outdoor smoking spaces.

Depending on the model, mounting height and angle, an area of up to 10m2 can be heated by a single unit.

With quartz heaters, running costs are minimised, as the OPH does not raise the overall ambient temperatures, therefore heat doesn’t get blown away and wasted.
