Tesco completes first church conversion

A former Methodist church in Dorset has been turned into a Tesco Express

Tesco has converted a former Methodist church in Westbourne near Bournemouth into a Tesco Express.

The retail giant said it kept as many of the original church features as possible.

John Heade, technical director at Inspire Design, the architect for the exterior, said: “We didn’t want to take away the look and feel of the original church externally or internally.”
