Turner & Townsend has been appointed as cost manager on a £7m wild bird watching centre in Saltholme, Teesside. The client is the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. The architect is Jane Derbyshire & David Kendall.
T&T is providing full pre and post-contract cost management services including cost planning and tender document preparation. Contractors will be procured through a traditional route. The anticipated site start is autumn 2006 and construction is scheduled to take about 12 months. The RSPB hopes to open the centre early 2008.
