CIBSE's champion for Rethinking Construction, Don Leeper, made a direct link between personal responsibility and better teamworking.
Speaking at the CIBSE/ASHRAE conference, Leeper said that if the UK construction industry is to work using integrated teams, trust is key. "We offer a service, and we need to engender trust in those we work with. To be worthy of trust requires competence and character."

Government has set a target of 20% of construction projects by value to be using teamworking methods. Leeper says that if the industry is to achieve these goals, construction professionals have to take personal responsibility.
