T Clarke continues to grow rapidly with the addition of two more business to its company portfolio. AG Aylward Electrical & Mechanical and AG Aylward EMS (Maintenance and Minor Works) have been acquired for around £3.4 million.
Both businesses are based in Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire and together they employ 75 staff. For the year ending 30 September 2002 they reported a combined turnover of £6.036 million, with profits before tax of £446 000 and net assets of £1.081 million.

Pat Stanborough, T Clarke chief executive, said: "Our strategy is to grow the scale of the group organically and by acquiring high quality regional businesses that have a good geographical and business fit with our existing operations. We are confident that these firms will fit well with our existing operations and will benefit enormously from being part of the larger T Clarke Group."

The two firms have a strong regional presence, working with a wide variety of public and private sector customers including local authorities, education authorities and housing associations throughout East Anglia.

Following the acquisitions, T Clarke anticipates that the group outcome for the full year will be at least in line with projected expectations.
