The new Swingo self-closing, interior glass door hinge is designed for use in commercial and residential premises where doors need to be self-closing but where an overhead or floor closer is considered inappropriate.

Aimed at interior designers, architects, shop-fitters, shower and bathroom specialists, it is the latest addition to the Prefit product portfolio, a comprehensive collection of fittings for glass.

Manufactured by Stremler Glass Hardware, Swingo is a strong, robust, double-action hinge that closes a door automatically after use, and allows the door to be opened either by pushing or pulling. Available in two models, glass-to-wall and glass-to-glass, the hinge is suitable for holding glass 8mm to 12mm thick and supporting glass doors weighing up to 60Kg. Swingo opens 180 degrees with a blocking point at 90 degrees and also has a special hold-open feature at between 80 and 90 degrees.
