Stuart Bowman is promoted divisional director at Hurley Palmer's energy division

Engineering consultancy Hurley Palmer Flatt has promoted Stuart Bowman to divisional director of its energy division.

Property and construction consultant Ridge has promoted Adrian Spurrier to salaried partner at the London office with responsibility for developing quantity surveying. Five employees from the Oxford branch have been promoted to associates.

Environmental consultant Leyden Kirby Associates has appointed Martin Clapperton financial director. Clapperton has held senior financial roles at the Mirror Group and chemical maker Laporte.

Contractors

Galliford Try Construction’s northern division has appointed Paul Cook business development manager. Cook was previously at Citypress PR, where he worked with the National Federation of Builders.

Midas has appointed Robert Smith director of finance. He joins from Bluestone but has worked at Morgan Sindall, Balfour Beatty and Pilkington.

Housebuilders

Kier subsidiary Twigden Homes has appointed Dan Browne land director. Browne joins the company from Taylor Woodrow Development.
