Stepping lightly: Visitors to the Lloyds Court building in Newcastle will be greeted by a light experience thanks to a new led installation. LB Lighting developed luminaires to light the stair treads after consultant Lighting Design International called on it to find an alternative to fibre optic lighting. The leds comprise Prismex sandwiched between 19 and 10 mm-thick glass panels using led modules from Osram Opto Semiconductors. They have been installed on all landings and stair treads.
