Steel Window Association member Klockner RP Profiles recently supplied its high quality fire-rated systems into a 100,000 sq. ft refurbishment scheme on Fashion Street in East London (pictured). The old warehouse space was converted by property developer Blenhall Group Ltd, into modern office space where software developer company Workshare and prestigious Italian fashion school ‘Instituto Marangoni’ have relocated to.

The developer selected the RP-ISO-Hermetic facade and door systems, combined with Contraflamm N2 fire-resistant glass for their ability to match the architect’s design and the contractor’s tight budget. In total, 300 square metres of 60 minute integrity and insulation fire-resistant glazing were successfully installed to protect the escape route around the stairs and lift.

The project was awarded a British Council for Offices (BCO) Commendation for best refurbishment project for 2003.
