12:20PM Dubai's latest development on show in Birmingham

A chance to check out some of Dubai's most outlandish developments is coming up in Birmingham on the weekend of 28-29 October. Dubai Sports City is to be showcased at the International Convention Centre.

The gigantic development will be 50m sq ft and feature four stadia, sports academies, leisure facilities, hotels and, naturally, an enormous shopping mall. The show will reveal Canal Residence West, which is billed as an elegant collection of five buildings comprising studio, one, two and three bedroom penthouse apartments. This part of the development also boasts an 18-hole Ernie Els-endorsed golf course, plus Manchester United Soccer Schools, the David Lloyd Tennis Academy, the International Cricket Council's first ever ICC Global Cricket Academy, the world's first 'WorldHockey' Academy and a Butch Harmon School of Golf.

If you fancy moving in, Dubai Sports City has released apartments in three of the five buildings for sale - the Mediterranean, the Classic European and the Venetian buildings. Apartments range from 488 sq ft to 3,227 sq ft. Prices will start from around £86,500 for a studio apartment.
