Electricians are amongst the most reliable tradespeople in Greater London, according to a recent survey carried out by the ECA.

The study revealed that more than one-third of residents regarded the work carried out by electricians as ‘good’. While over one in five described it as ‘excellent’.

This comes as a massive boost for the industry at a time when there are major concerns over cowboy tradespeople. In 2004 Trading Standards received 20 282 complaints from home improvement work customers.

Malcolm Conby, ECA Greater London regional manager said: “The results of this study show that the electrical industry has well and truly taken this problem by the horns.

“It is a testament to the hard work and dedication that contractors across the UK have put into maintaining the highest of standards.”
