Vaillant has entered the solar market with a system that integrates domestic hot water and heating.

Domestic heating manufacturer Vaillant has moved into the solar market with the launch of a total system solution.

The system integrates solar hot water and traditional domestic heating systems. It can be installed in a new system or be retrofitted into an existing heating system.

The Aurotherm evacuated tube solar collectors are delivered pre-assembled with eight or 16 tubes for ease of installation. Panels are pushed together; up to 12 can be connected in series. A range of mounting accessories suited to pitched or flat roofs, plus wall fixings, provide flexibility for the siting of panels.

The firm offers a choice of three twin-coil stainless steel unvented cylinders for use with solar dhw systems. The Aurostor is based on its Unistor cylinder design and is offered in capacities of 200, 250 and 300 l. Two sensor pockets are incorporated to ensure it can be efficiently recharged by the solar system or an auxiliary heat source.

To comply with the Building Regulations the cylinders also include a solar thermal cut-out as standard.
