The hunt is on to find the UK’s finest electrician in a bid to promote high standards and skills across the electrical industry. If you have someone in mind within your business, SkillElectric, organised by SummitSkills, is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and achieve positive publicity for your company.

Nomination forms must be submitted by 29 February 2008. Call 01908 303971 for an entry pack, or contact your employee’s college. The pack comprises a talent spotting check-list, an in-house skills competition task and marking schedule, and an entry form.

Skill Electric is to run competitions across the UK. At these events, competitors will be assessed on a series of practical tests based on real-life work. The winner of the UK final also has the chance to compete alongside other team mates in the World Skills competition.
