Sortimo International, manufacturer of in-vehicle racking solutions has launched the Easy-Klick System.

The Easy-Klick System is wheeled into the vehicle and clicked into anchoring points. When space is needed to transport bulky goods the system can be unclicked and removed. An added safety feature is connection of the system to the anti-slip safety floor insert SobogripPlus.

SmartBox is a real time condition alarm system that can be viewed via the Internet. It monitors a host of service data according to client needs and is commissioned to transmit alarms to GSH's contact centre. On-call operatives are notified of an alarm by SMS text.

Crafty choices

Volkswagen has replaced the LT with the Crafter. It is offered with a choice of four, five-cylinder engines. A six-speed manual gearbox is fitted as standard, with optional automated transmission. Three wheelbases, four load compartment lengths and three roof heights are available.

The Crafter is also offered as a panel van, chassis cab and double-cab van. The maximum load capacity is 17 m3.

Aimed at small businesses, eVan is designed to be totally self-administered by the customer 24/7. This means that the customer benefits from reduced costs and avoids paying a broker's commission. An eVan policy can cover up to four vans on one policy.

Telepartner has added a Ring Ahead option to its ServiceNet mobile field service system.

The function allows field engineers with a wireless device to trigger an automated call to a customer to notify them in advance of their expected time of arrival. The client response is recorded and relayed to the engineer so a decision can be made whether to proceed.

This enables assignment of engineers on real-time client availability, reducing time wasted. ServiceNet is a web-based managed service, offered as a pay-as-you-go subscription.
