Silcock Leedham has designed a lighting solution for Hull Uni Logistics Institute.
The consultancy utilisted Zumtobel’s Lighttools modular system and Miros mirror systems to light the state-of-the-art glass atrium. The spherical surfaces of Miros reflect light directed from a number of projectors mounted onto the walls of the atrium back into the room.
Silcock Leedham's Leigh Farr said: “With a brief to create a light, airy atrium, the fittings from Zumtobel Lighting enabled us to design a lighting scheme that is attractive, practical and versatile, taking the building into the 21st century. High, open areas are traditionally challenging to light but separating the light source and reflecting surface allows us to send light into places that are difficult to access, giving focused lighting that is both aesthetic and functional.”
