If there was ever an indication of how buoyant the construction industry is at the moment, it was this year’s Little Britain Challenge Cup in Cowes last month.

A record 251 boats gathered for the charidee event, now in it’s 21st year. What started as a five-boat jaunt between a group of drinkers who met in London’s Little Britain area (no, nothing to do with the TV show) now sees the streets of Cowes awash with 3,000 merry sailors over a weekend.
