A team has been appointed to create a permanent museum to hold the Mary Rose, more than twenty years after the ship was raised from the seabed of the Solent.
Davis Langdon has been appointed QS on the project by client the Mary Rose Trust and will join two firms of architects, Wilkinson Eyre and Pringle Brandon, who will handle the interior of the museum. The scheme, at Portmsouth, will cradle the remaining hull at the centre of an arena that re-unites the original artefacts with the ship by placing them in context within a virtual glass hull representing the missing section.
