The Chartered Institute of Building has made Roger Flanagan, professor of construction management at Reading University its 103rd president. Flanagan is also a member of Skanska’s board of directors and a non-executive member of engineer Halcrow’s board of directors.

The ODA is set to hire a troubleshooter this month to prevent disputes on the 2012 projects. Peter Chapman, an arbitrator and barrister, has been tipped as chairman of the ODA's dispute resolution panel.
