Building services provider SES has won a £11.2m mechanical and electrical (M&E) contract to complete the services installation at Greenwich Council’s new Civic Headquarters in Woolwich.
The seven-storey building project is worth in the region of £57m.
The company said that as part of its ongoing ‘build before we build’ strategy, a large portion of the work will be pre-fabricated off-site. SES said this met the green objectives of the client, would increase site safety and reduce waste.
Work is due to start on site in February 2010 and will take 12 months to complete. The building will be operational mid-2011.
