Building services contractor SES has secured its largest Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) project to date with its appointment to a new healthcare project in Hartlepool.
Accent Group of Leeds has appointed SES to provide the full mechanical, public health and electrical services installation on a £19m new build project to construct a community health centre in Hartlepool town centre.
Steve Joyce, SES’s operations director, said: “We are currently working on the development of a full off-site prefabricated plantroom and will be installing the pre-fabricated pipe work and electrical containment modules down all service corridors. This will make a significant contribution to the project achieving a BREEAM rating of Very Good together with the use of a combined heat and power unit to recover heat.”
The facility will incorporate four GP practices, community dentistry, and a pharmacy.
Contractor Carillion National is already on site and the project is due for completion in May 2010.
