Operational ratings, fan applications and Part L form the focus of September’s events at CIBSE, offering expert advice and information for those in the building services industry.

‘Fans: optimising performance through design, selection and installation’ takes place on 14 September at EEF Broadway House and features a number of leading names from the fan manufacturing industry covering issues including potential hazards, energy efficiency and noise reduction.

‘CHP, Part L and Planning Regulations: Implications, issues and problems’ is ideal for designers, engineers, contractors, planners and developers wishing to know more about an important and rapidly developing low carbon technology as well as clients considering their options for meeting the new Building Regulations. The event will be held at CIBSE headquarters on 22 September.

Tackling the timely issue of operational ratings, ‘Improving the Performance of Existing Buildings’ comes in the wake of a recent government statement on the implementation of ratings. The day aims to examine the business case for improving the performance of existing buildings, the regulatory drivers behind it and will equip you with the tools to assess and therefore identify the need to improve the energy efficiency of your existing buildings. This event takes place at the Lion Court Conference Centre on 26 September.
