A Worcestershire firm has launched what it claims to be the first alarm system designed specifically for void properties which could be left empty from one day up to several years, and where there is neither mains power nor local telecomms.

Intruder alarms

Sentico’s Void Property Alarm affords security managers working on behalf of local authorities and housing associations a number of clear benefits. It is wireless, and may be installed within 15 minutes. The alarms can be moved from one property to another with no need for maintenance (other than registering the new location via software). They can also be configured to use several wireless PIRs, detecting movement or changes of heat at distances of up to 45 feet.
