The British Retail Consortium is lending a significant retail security focus to the event, featuring an authoritative programme of free seminars addressing pertinent end-user issues in addition to subjects affecting security installers and distributors.
Michael Schuck, assistant director of the Retail Crime Policy at the BRC, said: "The British Retail Consortium is delighted to be supporting Securex this year. Retail crime cost the industry £2.25 billion in 2002, including £540 million on crime prevention.
"We are constantly striving to reduce the impact of crime and to ensure that our crime prevention efforts deliver increased value to the industry."
Securex will also feature seminar sessions hosted by Norbain Security and SSR Personnel, who are exhibiting at the show. Other exhibitors include ATG Access, Bannerbridge, Chubb Safes, and Rosengrens Tann.
The BSIA is also staging an Advice Zone, which aims to point visitors in the right direction regarding questions they may have on the security industry.
