As well as showcasing the latest products available to installers, specifiers and consultants, Securex 2004 will focus on careers in the security industry.
Career Focus, supported by SITO and the BSIA, will be aimed at decision makers with recruitment responsibility and security professionals looking to their next step. It will present information on the best courses, diplomas, degrees and accreditation.
Reflecting the event’s reputation for introducing high technology products to a high calibre audience, Europe’s largest security distributor, Norbain SD has confirmed its attendance and is aiming for an “even higher profile presence”.
The national exhibition at Earls Court October 12-14 will give installers the chance to see some of the latest equipment in CCTV, IP networking, access control and intruder detection and will also focus on the future of security management as a profession.
It will feature SMT Forum, a high profile debate with experts from the Cabinet Office, SITO, MoD, Rubicon, Johnson Controls, and Resolution Security who will argue for and against the motion: What does the future hold for security management as a profession?
Best Practice Seminars will present the latest thinking from individuals in particularly interesting job functions including presentations from organisations such as the British Transport Police
MD of Norbain SD, Dermot Grace, said: “Securex turned a corner last year and is now growing in importance within the industry. In particular for Norbain, the show is now seen as a key date in our corporate communications calendar.
“Last year well over 5,000 visitors attended, many of them specifiers and consultants – key targets for us. For this reason we believe the event provides an excellent platform for introducing high technology products to a high calibre audience.”
Simon Parker, Event Director of the show’s organisers CMP added, “We are extremely pleased to have the unequivocal support of Norbain for Securex 2004. This endorsement of the event by a company of Norbain’s stature is a clear statement of the perceived value of the show to the industry, both visitors and exhibitors alike.”
