Second City Window & Door Manufacturers Ltd, based in Tipton in the West Midlands, has introduced what it considers to be a revolutionary quality control process.Newly appointed Sales Manager Wayne Ansell explains:

‘The BSI requirement is for a percentage of production to be checked. At Second City we have now introduced a 100 per cent Quality Control inspection. The 12-point Inspection Checklist is then signed and dated by the dedicated member of staff responsible for the QC checking procedure.’

Andrew Thompson, Chairman, added: ‘We are absorbing all extra costs involved because this falls in line with our mission statement of being ‘big enough to cope, small enough to care’.

Second City has achieved the BSI Kitemark and ISO 9002 standard, confirming its position as one of the West Midlands’ leading trade manufacturers, with a 100 per cent conformance rate.
