4:00 PM Savant gets cost management job for Balkans tallest apartment building

Project and cost management firm Savant has been appointed to undertake lender’s monitoring services on the 118m high Bosmal City Centre in Sarajevo. Savant will be acting on behalf of the HVB Central Profit Bank, member of the UniCredit Group.

Savant’s principal responsible for the Balkan region, David Whitehouse said: “This project has offered us a fabulous opportunity to work in Sarajevo which is among the cities with the liveliest construction activity in South Eastern Europe.”

The “city within the city”, as it is called, represents the beginning of modern construction in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is also the largest direct foreign green-field investment in the country with an overall value of foreign funds estimated to be around £80m.

With its luxury apartments, associated leisure facilities and a 100m long promenade, including shops and cafés, the twin tower development will become the first condominium in the region.

Bosmal City Centre will offer 306 residential units including eight penthouses. A restaurant with a panoramic city view will be situated on the 34th floor.

Local firms have carried out the design and are constructing the centre, which will be completed in approximately 12 month.
