Samsung Techwin has launched the SVR-440 DVR, a four-channel recorder providing smaller installations with high performance

The SVR-440 DVR developed by Samsung Techwin is a four-channel system designed to offer smaller installations the same kind of technology and high performance security managers would expect from larger and more expensive products and systems.

Cosmetically, these DVRs have been designed to look like a consumer product, although internally the electronic configuration and build quality has not been compromised. They use the MPEG4 image compression algorithm for sharp picture quality in combination with excellent recording capabilities. At standard image quality the SVR-440 can provide 41-day recording across all four channels. Powerful network monitoring capabilities include a two-way audio function that allows communication over a network.

Where many DVRs provide duplex operation, recording and playback, the SVR-440 affords triplex functionality which enables simultaneous recording, playback and network monitoring. That means "effortless flexibility" for the end user.

In addition, the SVR-440 incorporates a built-in 120 Gb internal hard disk drive as standard, and can record up to 100 frames per second. The addition of a USB connection on the front panel allows easy data back-up and removal.
