Looking at the QSNews4jobs salary checker this month, the average UK wage for a QS stands at £44,735 (slightly up from £44,401 last month) while for project managers it has risen to £46,674 from £45,626 last month.

On a regional basis, London has experienced a rise in wages for both professions.

For a QS in Greater London, the average salary has increased to £48,995 from £48,761 last month while for a PM the growth was more significant as they now stand at £52,758 compared to last month’s £50,795. The UK average for a PM is currently £46,674, up from £45,626 last month.

In the Midlands, average QS pay packets are £41,114.

Within this region, Derbyshire appears to offer much lower remuneration (with an average salary of £32,200) compared to the West Midlands area – which comes in at £42,708. PMs can expect higher levels, as the Midlands region as a whole comes in at £46,348, while the West Midlands region stands at £50,197 per annum – well above the UK average.

Looking at the Southeast, average salaries have shown signs of a slight increase for QSs (up to £45,018 from £44,980 last month) but a dip for PMs (£50,495 compared to £50,635 last month).
