The world-renowned Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in London has undergone a security upgrade using Bewator Cotag equipment to secure 120 access points throughout the main building.

    Installed by Link Integrated Security Systems of Nottingham, the Granta for Windows Version 4 system uses 120 proximity readers across the entire site, thus providing a secure environment for staff and patients alike.

    Granta for Windows Version 4 includes a CCTV Manager, Visitor Manager and TCP/IP support function. The latter allows end users to check the status of visitor activities, while security badges may be printed to incorporate logos, text and the visitor's portrait.

    At Great Ormond Street, the Granta system will enable everybody visiting the hospital to be issued with a pass allowing them easy access to zones they're actually authorised to enter.
