John Rowan and Partners (JRP) is targeting further double-digit growth after posting record results for the past year.

The firm, which has three offices in and around London, saw turnover increase by 12.8% to £3.13m and profits increase of 9.25% to £290,000 for the year to 30 April 2005.

In the last year the firm restructured into four new business units – retail services, hotel and leisure, development and regeneration, and building surveying and architecture – and has relocated to a new west London base to accommodate its growing team. The company’s workforce now numbers more than 60, with the addition of 15 new recruits into housing and hotel divisions.

Stephen Gee, managing partner, said that it had been an important year and that JRP had achieved its aim of 10-15% annual business growth. He said: “We’ve built a foundation on which to continue this upward trend for the coming year and further strengthen the company’s position.”

Gee said the firm was contributing to the delivery of housing projects more quickly and cost effectively and that it will be looking for a repeat in recent contract successes. Recent wins for JRP include a £30m build scheme in North Brentford and a £17.5m scheme with Notting Hill Housing Group in Hounslow.

JRP has also announced three new appointments. Mash Halai and Paul Sherwood are promoted to partners. Halai has been with JRP for seven years and is central to managing many of its housing contracts, as one of the senior consultants in the development and regeneration team.

Sherwood works within the hotel and leisure team. His experience and skills in the retail and hospitality industries are proving invaluable on refurbishment programmes for European hotel operators and the UK’s high street retailers.

Adam Tucker also joins the development and regeneration team as development manager from Catalyst Housing Group.
