Richard Horley Lighting fits out a Kent theme park with a difference

A £62m themed attraction complex that takes visitors back to the Victorian world of Charles Dickens uses ABB’s miniature circuit-breakers (MCBs) to help light the special attractions.

Richard Horley Lighting was chosen to provide the Dickens World lighting scheme, which illuminates attractions such as the Great Expectations Boat Ride and a reproduction Victorian school.

The Kent-based complex relies heavily on Anytronics lighting and dimming packs.

Richard Horley says: “I chose Anytronics because its products are excellent value for money and they provide a versatile modular package.”

Modularity was important to Horley because lighting requirements on the various rides and attractions evolved as the project went along, so easily changing the rating of the dimmer packs was vital.
