We also believe that there ought to be a balance between compliance with the law and displaying a certain element of fairness towards any security companies who, from Day One, decided to embrace change for all the right reasons.

That being the case, the AFC Group is fully supportive of the Four Issues, One Voice Campaign being run by Security Management Today (SMT) and Infologue.com that encourages dialogue between the industry, the Regulator and the Home Office with a view to reducing red tape, realising fairer pricing structures for licensing and the Approved Contractor Scheme, licensing in-house security operations and introducing an industry practitioner to the SIA’s Board.
