Re David Lammy and his comments re using our own people, the people are here and trained - what they lack for the projects he mentions is good, affordable accomadation in the area. Coming from the north west and having worked in London on numerous occasions the biggest problem is always accomadation, it is either too expensive or a complete s**thole. I bought a narrow boat for my last stint and the inland revenue refused to regonise it as a valid expense (all the way to Dawn Primarloo via my MP). So David how about tax allowance or tax-free subsistance and the trained personell will travel. We won't live 10 to a room like the eastern europeans.
