Have these architects learned nothing in 60 years? Judging by the picture, no. This is nothing more than a re-run of the worst of 1960s concrete shopping malls. For goodness sake, could Nouvel - a decent architect - and Foster - someone who travels the world - not find something more to inspire them in the great cities that Italy has in spades? This looks like Italian urban sprawl, not Italian urbanity. What pathetically low expectations this sort of design represents, even with the "exciting" floodlights at the end of the street, and the "groovy" trams. People as trendy as those airbrushed in here would die rather than live there. Even Mussolini's architects did better than this. Back to the drawing board!
