I disagree with the majority of comments above. I feel that this development will offer an opportunity for UK employers to tap into a more diverse resource. I believe the actual numbers employed from overseas will continue to be low and you won't see the referred influx, but a complementary increase. Companies will still be reluctant to go through the administrative process of recruiting from overseas despite the current shortage. There is an incredible resource abroad, with RICS and transferable qualifications and skills available. UK origin QS's have for years enjoyed the ability to work overseas (myself included). Why oppose the opportunity for others?
