I totally welcome this great news. I'm proud to say that I am a fully qualified and experienced Malaysian QS. I have spent half my working life in the UK. Some people just need to think and be realistic about the whole picture. Think about the economy of the country (construction industry & property), about no more working long hours - as more resources to take up some of your work, allowing you to deligate - your work more efficiently - and about cross-cultural living. I believed some measures will be in place to only recruit qualified professionals. Get real, not everyone wants to come to work in the UK, especially with the (high) income tax, the high living expenses and the better pay packages in the Middle East. The demand will always be there, the value will be maintained.
