1 Colin Rossiter

Gleeson has established a new dedicated company to further its ventures into PFI. Formerly divisional PFI manager with the Group’s Northern Construction Division, Rossiter will spearhead the operation as managing director. He will be responsible for identifying PFI opportunities, co-ordinating bids for contracts and managing the Group’s equity investments in PFI projects.

2 Stan Inskip

Kajima Construction Europe (UK) has appointed north east project executive Inskip to its operations board. Inskip joined Kajima in 1995 as site manager and a series of promotions has seem him move through the ranks to head up Kajima’s Newcastle office, which was established just two years ago.

3 Graham Gibbs

Lovell has appointed Gibbs, 58, as contracts manager for the London region. Based at the company’s London regional office at Cockfosters Road, Barnet, Gibbs’ current responsibilities include managing two housing modernisation projects, including a major refurbishment scheme at the New Pembury Estate, Hackney and the modernisation of 420 council homes in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

4 Rob Moore

Lovell has also appointed Moore as business development manager for the company’s Midlands region. He is based at the company’s Midlands regional office in Halesowen.

5 Ian Kennedy

Leicester construction company, Newlife Regeneration Construction has appointed a new chairman to its non-executive board. Kennedy, former National Managing Partner of UK property consultants, Summers-Inman, and a chartered quantity surveyor and project manager, brings extensive experience of private and public sector construction projects and managing business growth. Kennedy has also taken up chairmanship of Newlife’s sister company, Thorpete Gas Services.

6 Matthew Raybould

Willmott Dixon has appointed Raybould as commercial manager for the Midlands and Northern region. Raybould will oversee the commercial side of Willmott Dixon’s operations in Nottingham, Leeds and Manchester, as well as Birmingham, where he will be based at the company’s Midlands head office in Coleshill near Birmingham.

Roger Bayliss has been appointed as new group construction director for BAA.

Midas Projects (UK), part of the Midas Group, has appointed John Martin as design director. Martin, formerly at Carillion, brings with him specialist experience of major mixed-use Design and Build projects across all sectors.

John Matthews has joined the Newcastle office of construction firm Gleeson as business development manager for the region. Matthews joins Gleeson from James Burrell Builders Merchant where he was responsible for new business in the North East.

David McLean Contractors has announced the appointment of Graeme Thomas as divisional director.

Warwickshire-based Pettifer Construction has appointed two new construction managers.

Mark Yeomans will oversee top marque car dealerships for Listers Group and Hartwells and Paul Davies strengthens Pettifer’s team for projects. Davies will also hold responsibility for a number of on-site teams.

Construction Manager
