Welcome to our first salary checker update, where we take a snapshot of average salaries across the UK, based on data gathered from vacancies advertised on QSNews4jobs.co.uk. To access the new salary checker, click here

Looking at this month’s results, the average UK wage for a QS stands at £44,401. For project managers, the average wage comes in slightly above at £45,626.

Within London, a QS can expect a much higher salary within London, at £48,761, while the average package for a PM in London is even greater at £50,795.

In the North West, figures are lower for both professions, most notably for PMs.

The average QS salary is £42,217 but for PMs the pay is nearly £25,000 below the national average, at just £32,500.

A similar picture is painted in Yorkshire for PMs, with that region’s average being £32,000, while QSs experience a better rate at nearly £38,000.

The regional differences continue when looking at the Midlands, which for the QS sees a lower rate – with an average of £40,590. For PMs the figure drops slightly to £40,395.

The South East, meanwhile, shows a more buoyant outlook revealing similar levels to London: £44,980 average for QSs and £50,635 for PMs.
