The 24 Standard Power Track plug-and-play distribution system is chosen to fit out government agency in Doha

A new government agency building in Qatar is using Electrak’s plug-and-play power distribution system.

The recently completed headquarters in Doha is where the Qatar News Agency distributes 24-hour news to the rest of the world.

M&E contractor Rumaillah Services chose Electrak’s 24 Standard Power Track underfloor power distribution, as the push-and-click assembly encourages rapid installation and allows for client layout changes to be easily accommodated.

Another requirement was that the system was flexible, to cater for the news agency’s many newsrooms’ individual requirements.

In total, the contractor installed 400 m of Electrak Power Track.

Shuttered socket outlets were positioned along the track at 30 cm intervals, so that floor boxes could be positioned and then repositioned if the office layout changed.

In total, 100 floor boxes, providing 400 sockets, were deployed.

This is Electrak’s first project in Qatar, but the manufacturer views the Middle East as a significant area for future growth.
