Sony Europe’s Image Sensing Solutions Division has announced that it is taking the company’s FCB colour block dome cameras “to a new level of integration” by providing end users with unmatched functionality and feature options thanks to the addition of the Series C range.

Models in the new, extended range of eight cameras are based on 1/4” CCD sensor technology, and offer a choice of either 18x or 26x optical zoom capability.

The four FCB-EX980 Series C cameras offer exceptional performance under low-light conditions due to the CCD sensors. In addition, a SMART lens control feature substantially reduces the lens wear – vital in any 24-hour monitoring application. They also deliver reduced smear and provide picture freeze functionality.

A dedicated privacy zone masking capability allows masking to be automatically interlocked with the camera’s pan, tilt and zoom operations regardless of the selected camera angle.
