The wide range of key industry figures brought together to address the 2004 ECA conference tackled admirably this year’s theme of ‘our partners, our people, our business’.
They demonstrated how people are the key resource of a company and that for real success, firms and organisations should not work as an island but should develop positive partnerships.

The issues addressed and advice given were pertinent to both the major m&e contractor and the SME family business alike. The conference provided the opportunity for large and small companies to compare experiences and examine together the best way forward for commercial success. Of particular value were the workshops that followed the conference sessions. These allowed immediate feedback on the issues and questions raised.

This was a conference that had real relevance for our members and the industry’s business, current day-to-day running and future aspirations.

Congratulations should go to all concerned with its organisation. We look forward to welcoming you at the 2005 conference planned for May in Mallorca, where the theme will be ‘commercial success out of change’.

Judging by the need to successfully adapt to today’s fast changing business environment, next year’s conference should be a sell-out.
