3DX-Ray has produced a detailed technical brochure on its portable TPXi x-ray system for bomb threat detection. The system weighs 6.5kg for the source and 8kg for the detector, and can be in place by a suspect package and checking the content within minutes of discovery.

It is already in use by police authorities from London to Singapore. Its thin size – 5cm thick – allows it to slip into very narrow gaps behind suspect packages. The TPXi system uses WiFi communications so the operator can control it from a safe distance.
