Halifax super-fabricator Polyframe has achieved a major industry coup by securing a five-year contract worth £15 million to supply windows and doors to emergency call out and repair solutions provider, Homeserve.
Under the agreement, Polyframe will supply windows and doors all fabricated from WHS Halo’s chamfered 70mm Eclipse PCE suite to Homeserve’s entire nationwide network of 45 branches on a five-day lead time. Homeserve was founded as part of as an emergency repairs arm of South Staffordshire Water; devolving from the Group in 2004. It is now the UK’s largest home assistance business in the country – delivering its services both on behalf of major companies and direct to the consumer. Prior to sealing the deal, which took 18 months to clinch, Polyframe had trialled its products with Homeserve for three months and now becomes sole supplier to the company, which previously sourced its windows from 15 separate fabricators.
Mark Aylen, National Purchasing & Supply Manager at Homeserve, commenting on the deal said, ‘It was a major step for Homeserve to reduce its fabricator base from 15 to one; and award the contract on the five year basis. That said, we have been impressed with not only the quality of Polyframe’s products; but also its unrelenting commitment to customer service. We are very much looking forward to working with them as our preferred supplier in this sector for years to come’.
