Petite France: A new “French quarter” for Southampton is about to go before the city’s planning committee. The development of more than 180 homes will include properties for sale, shared ownership, and older people, plus shops, commercial buildings and a pedestrianised lane.

The quarter will be built on a site bombed during the Second World War.

A housing association has not yet been selected for the development. The developer is Linden Homes and the architect is John Thompson & Partners.
