Former Housing Corporation chief executive Norman Perry is to join the board of a private sector company involved in the provision of affordable housing.
Perry will become a non-executive director of Merlion Group, which was one of a handful of private firms to get funding as part of the government's Starter Home Initiative.

The group's two main subsidiaries, Merlion Housing and Infinity Homes, have been involved in advising on section 106 planning gain agreements and shared ownership schemes for key workers.

Perry stepped down from the corporation at the beginning of April. Jon Rouse, former chief executive of government design watchdog the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment, has replaced him.
