Two employees of Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions have raised £1,000 for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in a 210-mile sponsored cycle ride from London to Paris.
Salesman, Andy Tubb, and Project Engineer, Ben Semple, who both work at Tyco Fire & Integrated Solutions doors division (formerly Wormald Doors) in Manchester, averaged 12 miles an hour during the three day event that raised a total of £60,000.
Their feat coincided with the Tyco Fire Europe group of companies – including Wormald Fire Systems – joining forces across Europe under the new brand, Tyco Fire and Integrated Solutions, in order to simplify customer access to the companies' comprehensive range of fire and safety solutions.
The annual cycle ride is organised by Rowlands Pharmacy, a major Tyco customer.
