Paul Wallwork has been confirmed as chief executive of Gleeson after steering the contractor through a restructure and reducing its debt 85%. Wallwork has been the contractor’s interim chief executive since July after Terry Massingham resigned.
Housebuilders
Cala Management, the main operating company of Scottish property developer Cala Group, has promoted Alan Brown to director. He will take on this role in addition to his existing positions as chairman of Cala Homes in the Midlands and Yorkshire.

Dew Piling has appointed Bob Jones managing director. He joins the company from Amec, where he was operations director of all civil engineering operations in the UK. He previously worked on the Bingley bypass in West Yorkshire, which won the Prime Minister’s award for public projects.

Woods Bagot has appointed Richard Marshall as director of urban design. He joins from EDAW where he was a principal and regional director of urban design for EDAW in Asia.
Architect and historic building consultant Purcell Miller Tritton has appointed James Sanderson to head its Liverpool office. A specialist in historical buildings, he is also the architect for Blackburn cathedral.
